I know we’re making the transition into winter now, or at least every store out there is convincing us that we are, but I’m still going to call this a fall haul. Because flannel. Flannel is just the epitome of fall to me I guess. I couldn’t help but notice my wardrobe was lacking in cold-weather options. Can you believe I only had one pair of jeans? With that in mind, this past weekend I went on an urgent mission to find some more pants. I love a good bargain, so my boyfriend Josh and I made a trip to the closest outlet malls on Sunday. Outlet mall shopping is something that we both enjoy so I love when we can make a day of it.
Flannel (American Eagle) After not shopping at American Eagle since my middle school days, they surprised me by having a lot of great pieces. I’ve been on the hunt for a flannel for a while now, but I’ve been looking for a certain type of soft fabric that seems to be mostly in men’s flannels, unfair. I almost caved and bought a men’s shirt, but I’m glad I waited because this one is a perfect combination of that soft, warm material and a feminine cut.
Tank Top (Gap) First off, this top was only $0.97! Since when can you buy anything that cheap? Even gum-ball machines are probably at least that expensive now. I kid, but can you blame me for picking this up? I got it mainly to wear as a sleep shirt because even when it’s cold I sometimes still like to wear tank tops to sleep so I can snuggle in the blankets without getting too hot.
Denim Jeans (American Eagle) These are actually the jeggings style jeans that American Eagle makes. They’re called jeggings, but when I think of jeggings I typically think of cotton leggings that are made to look like jeans. These aren’t that at all. They’re basically just super tight fitting jeans, which is what I wanted considering I already have a light wash pair of boyfriend jeans.
Black Jeans (Levi’s) Like I said, I was in the market for some new jeans and while these aren’t necessarily denim I could still use another pair. These fit me perfectly, and don’t bunch at the ankles. I highly recommend trying some Levi’s if you have a hard time finding pants that fit you in both the waist and length.
Fuzzy Socks (Gap) I finally bit the bullet and bought some new fuzzy socks. I’m embarrassed to say that mine are possibly up to ten years old… I probably shouldn’t admit that so as not to seem totally disgusting, but as you can tell it was time for some new ones. I guess I always want to “save” my money and not spend it on socks. And by save I mean spend it on some new lip product that looks exciting. You can’t go wrong with some new fuzzy socks though to keep your feet warm.
