I love a good run, but in the winter months I find myself never wanting to get outside and instead find solace in the warm gym. This weekend my friends and I decided it was bearable enough to go for a run outside so we donned our workout gear and headed to the Atlanta Beltline. If there’s anything that will help give you that extra push to get out of the house and running it’s a cool trail and some cute workout clothes. Since we were running in the afternoon I styled my outfit so I could wear it all day before the workout. Athletic clothes are comfortable so why not have fun with them! My Lululemon tank is my favorite layering piece because it adds a bright floral pattern to an otherwise plain outfit. Try experimenting with layering workout pieces just like you would regular clothes to create wearable outfits that have a home outside the gym.

Now back to the Atlanta Beltline. The Beltline is an ongoing public project with various locations around the city, some that have already been completed while others have yet to be finished. The portion I’ve been on has a vibrant atmosphere where bikers, runners, walkers, and artists alike can have fun. In addition to being a place to exercise, the trail is also home to installation art that makes running there a fun experience. As you can see in the pictures there’s plenty of colorful graffiti and fun sculptures of things like goats and pinwheels. The portion I ran was a four mile venture down and back the strip. Although I didn’t stop, within the two mile stretch there are little areas of refuge for bikers or anyone looking for a good meal or snack. I love finding cool places like this to visit in the city, and as I only have a few more months of living here I want to check out as many as I can!

Loved reading this post. The Beltline is such a cool project – I’m a bit of a city planning/parks nerd so it was cool to see your photos! Also, could you have found a more perfect background for your workout outfit? 😉

Thanks! 🙂 Glad you enjoyed it! That’s cool that you’re into that kind of stuff. I definitely want to try to get out and see more of the Beltline.
